The Ka'ba

 Ka'ba means cube. It is the first place Allah was worshiped. From the outside it does not look very exciting. It is made of concrete blocks. Inside it is decorated with texts from the Qu'ran. 

Very few people are allowed inside. Every year the Ka'ba is covered with a huge jet black cloth decorated with patterns and text from the Qur'an. At the end of the pilgrimage this text is cut up and taken as souvenirs by the pilgrims.
