The Bible clearly states in Genesis 1 that the earth was made in 6 days.
Whilst some may choose to interpret that figuratively, that is not supported Biblically.
Charles Darwin a key proponent of evolution did not have access to huge amounts of information that we have today, such as DNA.
The extreme compexity of the world and universe that we live in indicates that there is a designer, rather than random chance.
If a so-called "simple cell" is like a city in complexity and DNA is far more complex than any computer programme, that indicates that "blind chance" is an insufficient answer.
Philisophically also, it begs the question of how there could be death (of animals/people) before sin.
